• The Safe Drain® is easily and quickly opened and closed within seconds using a standard valve key/operating-tool, without the need for the removal of the storm drain grating.
• Water flowing into the Safe Drain® is collected in the products stainless steel basin and directed through a filter assembly (if installed) and out through a high volume valve.
• If the amount of water flowing into the Safe Drain® becomes excessive it is allowed to automatically bypass any filtration devices installed to prevent backups and flooding.
• Sediment is removed from runoff by the Safe Drain® using a natural settling action, allowing the sediment to collect in the product's stainless steel basin, and by filters (if installed).
• Due to the Safe Drain's® ability to capture sediment through natural settling actions and filtration occasional cleaning and filter replacement may be required.
