The goals of compliance in the area of water permitting are to ensure that the terms of permits and other enforceable agreements are met. Should violations or irregularities be uncovered, the Office of Enforcement and/or the Office of Criminal Investigations may become involved. Their role is to set into motion procedures to address the violation and return the business or individual to a state of compliance.
